How To Remove & Measure A Euro Cylinder Door Lock
Remove Euro Cylinder:
- Remove the screw from the edge of the door that retains the lock cylinder (located on the edge of the door and inline with the bottom of the cylinder).
- Whilst turning the key slightly remove the cylinder with a gentle pulling motion.
Measure Euro Cylinder:
- Measure from the outside edge of the cylinder (A) to the centre of the locking cam.
- Measure from the opposite edge of the cylinder (B) to the centre of the locking cam.
Example: If dimension A = 45 mm and dimension B = 40 mm order a 45/40 cylinder. This will have a total length of 85 mm (45 + 40 = 85)
How To Remove A Thumb Turn Euro Cylinder Door Lock
Remove Thumb Turn:

Remove the lock retaining screw from the edge of the door (located on the edge of the door and inline with the bottom of the cylinder).

Whilst turning the thumb turn slightly, remove the cylinder with a gentle pulling motion.
Measure Thumb Turn:
Measure from the outside edge of the cylinder (T) to the centre of the locking cam.
- Measure from the opposite edge of the cylinder (B) to the centre of the locking cam.
- Measure edge to edge (O) for overall length of cylinder.
Example: If dimension T = 45 mm and dimension B = 40 mm order a T45/40 cylinder, (dimension o = 45 + 40 = 85 mm).
The "T" prefix denotes the thumbturn or inside part of the lock.
